It is known that in the Christian community and for Christian and non-Christian children who attend public schools, that one in five students ages 12-18 experience bullying.

How do we address this harsh reality?

Hi, I’m Brother Vinny Cruz and I am a born again, God fearing, God loving Bible believing follower of My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! As a Bible believing Christian I feel a sense of grief in my heart to know that child and teen Bullying and Cyberbullying are at an all-time high. Some kids are so tormented that suicide has become an alternative for them. Not to mention the reality that many kids who are struggling with low self-esteem, anger, stress, anxiety and depression turn to smoking, drugs or alcohol due to bullying which in turn leads many to become addicted to drugs and alcohol.  It has everyone worried. Not just the kids on its receiving end, but the parents, teachers and others who may not understand how extreme bullying can get! And it saddens me to know that this is happening in the Christian community in churches and even in Christian schools, and that many Christian men are not doing anything about it! Well I am not one of them!  That’s why I started The Bible Christian Academy of Fitness and Self Defense, to teach individuals of all ages how to defend themselves not just physically but also spiritually and to know our God and Father and our Lord Jesus Christ.  So that they would in turn know what the Bible says, “For our fight is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers of darkness of this world and against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”(Eph.6:12) I trained my daughters and students to understand that the Devil is our enemy and greatest oppressor and bully and that he has corrupted the minds of so many into bullying others. Knowing this they understood how to deal with bullies and help bring the knowledge of God to the bully first and to pray for them before using any physical defense! (Matt. 5:44; Rom. 12:18; Prov. 15:1) They understood as have many of my students that we as Christians are to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the bully first and that any physical defense would be the last resort if unable to walk away or attacked or to come to the aid of someone who was being physically abused or harmed. (Prov. 3:30/24:10-12)

So we are NOT a martial arts school looking to teach individuals how to fight or teach them about different religions or how to mix in other religious practices into their training as is done in regular martial arts schools. But rather we are a God and Christ centered  Bible based Self Defense Academy focused on teaching The Word of God while learning self defense.
